We come out of security engineering. The habits that come with that, decisions written down, a paper trail behind every change, deployments that are boring on purpose, are the same habits that keep a small firm out of trouble. We kept the parts that work and dropped the parts that only exist to satisfy an auditor.

How you will work with us

You talk to the people who scope the work and then write it. There is no account manager in between, and no handoff to somebody else once you have signed. Whoever is on the call can commit to a price.

We take on a limited number of builds at a time so each one gets the attention it needs. When we are at capacity we say so, and tell you when that changes.

Why every automation has a stop in it

A model that is right ninety-five times in a hundred is genuinely useful and completely unsuitable for approving a payment run unsupervised. So we build the fifth case in from the start. Anything that moves money, reaches a client, or commits your firm waits for a person. The automation does the reading, the checking, the routing and the drafting, and then it stops.

Every run writes an audit line either way, including the runs that get stopped. If you are ever asked what happened on a particular file on a particular day, the answer is retrievable.

Narrow on purpose

We do a small number of things properly and hand the rest to people who do them better.

• Cybersecurity goes to SharkSec.io, our own second company, staffed by people who do only that. You get the specialist rather than us stretching.
• We do not supply hardware. A specialist reseller will beat us on price and lead time, so we scope the software around whatever kit you buy and you keep the margin we would have taken.
• We build automation and maintain it. We do not bill for advice by the month, because a retainer that produces slide decks is easy to sell and hard to justify at renewal.
• Every figure on this site traces to something you can open. The workflows are published with their real step counts, and the calculator shows its arithmetic. Client names appear when clients allow it, not before.

Where we work
